Global Screenings for Educators and Students

AFMI Education Program

This May, we invite you to bring powerful global storytelling into your classrooms. Sign up to join us here. Educators and students only.

As Arab American Heritage Month comes to a close in April, we believe the conversation, and the celebration, should not end there. That’s why we’re continuing to spotlight Arab heritage into May through a free, virtual film series designed with both educators and students in mind.

From May 14th to May 21st, our global screening program will feature a curated selection of 20+ short films by Arab filmmakers across the diaspora, paired with ready-to-use study guides that make classroom integration simple, engaging, and meaningful.

Young people are eager for stories that expand their worldview. Through four thoughtfully curated film programs, students can explore themes of identity, resilience, migration, belonging, and self-expression—while engaging with voices and perspectives often underrepresented in traditional curricula.
Please note: these films are for students who are 13 years of age or older, with a couple of films limited to students 16 years of age or older.

Each curated film block runs under 90 minutes, making it easy to incorporate into lesson plans or group discussions without disrupting instructional time. Join us in continuing the spirit of Arab Heritage Month—because these stories, and the conversations they inspire, deserve to be experienced beyond a single month.

This program is exclusively available to educators and students. Sign up to get access.
