Life is Beautiful: a Letter to Gaza (New York City)
We are proud to co-present Life is Beautiful by Mohamed Jabaly at Firehouse: DCTV’s Cinema for Documentary Film – with Film Workers for Palestine, SAG-AFTRA & Sister Guild Members for Ceasefire, The Solidarity Index and DCTV, Palestine Film Institute and Watermelon Pictures.
Experience life through Jabaly’s eyes: stuck as ‘stateless’ in the Norwegian arctic, only able to connect to his family in Gaza online, he refuses to accept the boundaries imposed by international politics and rigid bureaucracy, instead activating his creativity and the support of friends to fight the system, preserve his Palestinian identity, and against all odds – see the beauty in life’s darkest moments.
Post-screening reception for ticket holders sponsored by Watermelon Pictures.
