The Arab American National Museum (AANM), Arab Film and Media Institute (AFMI), and ArteEast proudly present the Arab Film Series, a monthly curated online program of contemporary and classic films, followed by discussions with Arab, Arab American, and diasporic filmmakers, connecting a worldwide community through film, dialogue, and activism.

Freedom in Frames looks at nonviolent resistance movements against the Israeli occupation by both Palestinian and Israeli activists, shedding light on real life stories that symbolize courage, determination and hope. This selection of award-winning documentaries is produced by Just Vision, a collective of filmmakers, journalists, storytellers and human rights advocates who envision a pluralistic, just and rights-respecting future in the region.

The program includes:

  • Naila and the Uprising
  • Boycott
  • Budrus
